UW-Milwaukee student journalists covered the March for Our Lives event and the larger issue of gun control. One group traveled by overnight Amtrak to Washington, D.C. for the march and to talk with gun owners and Second Amendment supporters outside the nation’s capitol. Another contingent covered the marches in Milwaukee and Madison, as well as the 50 Miles More walk. We also explored how urban violence plays into the debate over gun control. Students spent their spring break covering these important issues with words, photos, video and audio.

The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee thanks the Greater Milwaukee Foundation/Journal Foundation Walter Jay and Clara Charlotte Damm Fund for the grant that partially funded our trip.
